Publication: “Learning from Disaster “
The city has assumed as a State policy the risks management, incorporating this approach to the Development Plan with the purpose of building a more prepared, sustainable and environmentally friendly city.
In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the tragic flood of 2003, the City Government proposed to remember what happened by acknowledging the path travelled, prompting insight about the catastrophe and the lessons it left us.
The publication “Learning from the disasters. The local risks management in Santa Fe, in the 10th anniversary of the flood of 2003” has the backing of the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction – The Americas and reunites information of the city’s conformation and its relationship with the rivers, as well as the process of integrated management that contributes to reduce risks, increasing the community’s resilience to latent threats.
